Toyota Hilux: The New Age Truck

Toyota is all set to release its new Hilux pickup truck in India. The estimated release date is 20th January 2022. The Toyota Hilux already has a huge presence internationally, especially in Australia and Middle East. Toyota Hilux has been the best-selling car in Australia for the fourth consecutively (2020)

It is designed truly to provide a heavy off-roading experience. With the new Toyota Hilux being released in India, it will create a new segment in the market for pick-up trucks.

Even though Isuzu has created a wave in India, Toyota Hilux is packed with more powerful features to give Isuzu a tough competition.  The Hilux comes with an IMV-2 platform which is also present in Innova Crysta and Fortuner. This IMV-2 platform makes the car highly durable and suitable for tough drives.

The Hilux has a four-door body with a wider loading bay area. You can choose between an automatic and a 2.8-liter diesel version.  With its 2.8-liter diesel engine, it is expected to deliver 204hp and 420Nm of torque. You will find a 6-speed manual in the gearbox and an automatic gearstick.

It is a dual-cab pickup-truck allowing it to be 5325 mm in length, 1855 mm in width and 1865mm for the height of the truck, giving it a massive look. It is estimated to have five shades to choose from, i.e. pearl white, super white, emerald red, metallic silver and metallic grey.

The Toyota Hilux is equipped with LED headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a touchscreen infotainment and unique chrome bits. All these features sets it apart from other pickup trucks.
Even though a pickup truck is mostly used as a work truck, lately, people have started investing in it as a lifestyle pickup truck as it is highly versatile. The latest version of the Hilux has the look as well as functionality to impress everyone.
